The inaugural North Fayette Valley High School Homecoming Court will be formally introduced during ceremonies in downtown West Union Thursday. The coronation ceremony is scheduled to be held on the Civic Plaza after the 7 p.m. parade.

The 2013 NFV Homecoming Court includes Lincoln Johansen, Dakota Moore, Dalton Lape, Noah Larson, Brady Ney, Mitchell Carlson;

Madison Creery, Colby Smith, Julie Breuer, Tessa Becker, Kelsey Garvin, and Shelby Lehmann.

As part of the NFV whole-grade sharing agreement, no Homecoming King or Queen was selected this year. Rather, three senior couples from both North Fayette and Valley were named to the 2013 Homecoming Court.

The post-parade ceremonies will also feature performances by the NFV drill team and cheerleaders.

The NFV Student Council will host the Disney-themed “Faith, Trust, and Bulldog Dust” Homecoming Parade. This year’s event will feature a “Parade of Lights” with local fire departments and other emergency personnel participating.

In addition, the Student Council invites local businesses and organizations to be a part of the 2013 Homecoming Parade, with hopes that some floats will be lighted as part of the celebration.

The parade route will start at the corner of E. Main and N. Walnut and travel west around the next three sides of the courthouse square in downtown West Union.

NFV students continue to celebrate the following Homecoming Week schedule::

Wednesday – Disney Day

Thursday – Duck Dynasty Day

Friday – TigerHawk Day with a 2:15 p.m. Pep Rally

Serving for the annual NFV Drill Team Baked Potato Bar will begin at 5 p.m. at the high school on Friday. Meanwhile, kickoff for the varsity football game versus MFL/MarMac is at 7:30 p.m. The Homecoming Dance will conclude the student activities at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
